My role
I joined as part of the pioneering UI/UX team for the product. Since then, I've taken the lead, contributed significantly, and successfully launched various features that have played a crucial role in the product's core business functions.
Beginning my UI/UX career with the freedom to explore and innovate, I've been able to curate thoughtful and engaging experiences for the e-wallet super app.

My contributions
Responsible for overseeing the entire design process, encompassing user research, conceptualization, strategy development, low/high-fidelity design, prototyping, as well as illustrations and animations.
Collaborated closely with stakeholders, product owners, marketing teams, and engineers across all phases of feature development sprints, from ideation to launch, ensuring seamless execution and handover.
Identified innovative campaign ideas and use cases to enhance user acquisition and retention, aligning with both business goals and user needs within the fintech domain.
Addressed complex requirements by translating them into intuitive user experiences while adhering to legal and security considerations specific to the fintech industry.
Established a scalable design language system to maintain consistency and efficiency in design processes, while also providing mentorship and guidance to design interns.
Introduced and implemented new best practices, software tools, and industry trends to optimize design workflows and enhance overall effectiveness.
Process
Each design sprint commenced with a product inception session involving stakeholders to define the project scope. After that, I would conduct user / market research, then followed by UX explorations : user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. Subsequently, I planned and facilitated usability testing to validate the designs.
After each sprint, I will host sharing session for each project to share all learnings with other stakeholder and leaderships to help them to make strategic business decision.
Building Boost first's design system
With the rapid expansion of both the application and the design team, I observed that inconsistency was becoming a significant challenge due to the absence of a Design Language System. To address this issue, I proactively undertook the initiative to consolidate and standardize existing design elements into a comprehensive style guide. This guide was meticulously crafted to ensure scalability and consistency throughout the application. It included modular elements and clear descriptions, providing a valuable reference for other designers on the team.
Crafting engaging experiences
I introduced the use of Lottie to the team to craft delightful motions in the app when Lottie just came out. Apart from my overall contributions to the product, I took on the responsibility of creating 70% of the in-app animated assets, including festive assets designed to enrich user engagement and infuse fun elements into the app experience.
Throughout the animation creation process, I proactively explored various methods to optimize in-app animations.
